Open Enrollment for the 2025-2026 school year is now officially underway! We are once again partnering with Lotterease to offer an online application/enrollment process. The link to submit an application is on the Enrollment Page of our website (https://www.roxborocs.org/page/enrollment). We will be accepting applications for the 2025-2026 school year from October 15, 2024 to March 4, 2025. If we have more applications than openings, we will hold an online lottery on March 6, 2025. Please help us spread the word to friends, family, and neighbors with children who will be in 6th-12th grade next year.
A few important reminders
* Students who are currently attending Roxboro Community School DO NOT need to re-apply to attend next school year.
* Siblings of current students or alumni DO need to complete an application to attend RCS next year. They are given preference in the lottery because they are the sibling** of a current student or alumni. But they DO have to apply by the March 4, 2025 deadline or the Lotterease computer system will automatically place them on a waiting list. [**"Sibling" includes brothers or sisters, half-siblings, step-siblings, or foster siblings living in the same household.]
* Paper copies of the 2025-2026 application are available for anyone who does not have internet or computer access.
Please visit the Enrollment page on our website (https://www.roxborocs.org/page/enrollment) for more information, or contact RCS Registrar, Jodi DeVillier, at 336.597.0020, ext 322 or devillierjh@roxborocs.org if you have questions or concerns.

Our supply drive for Hurricane Helene relief was an incredible success! This afternoon, a group of students and staff help load all the boxes of supplies onto the trailer that will be headed to Western NC! A huge thank you to Dustin Harris for bringing the trailer and helping us load it!
An enormous thank you to Mrs. Coleman, Mrs. Hawkins, Mr. Bryant, Principal Martin, and Officer Whitlow for helping plan this incredible effort, along with all the other students and staff members who helped sort and organize supplies throughout the week! Everyone worked so hard to make this all happen!
We are truly amazed at how much we were able to collect for those in need! We are so grateful for our special, caring RCS community!
Tomorrow concludes phase 1 of our Hurricane Helene relief efforts! We are amazed at how much we have collected this week already!

Starting Tuesday, October 8, we will begin collecting supplies for those affected. In an effort to make sure we get a variety of supplies, we have given each grade level a different category of supplies to bring. See the flier for those different categories and the supplies that are needed in each.
Middle school will drop off their supplies in the front lobby. High school will drop off their supplies outside the MPR.
We know that some of our local stores may be running out of supplies because so many people are doing the same thing. With that in mind, you are more than welcome to order supplies online through Amazon, Walmart, etc. and have them shipped directly to us at:
Roxboro Community School
Attn: Hurricane Relief
115 Lake Drive
Roxboro, NC 27573
As a community school, we know the power that comes from community, especially our incredible RCS community! We look forward to seeing what we can do together to help those in need.
With our efforts to collect supplies for hurricane relief, we need more empty cardboard boxes. If you have any boxes at home that you would like to donate, please drop them off at the front desk next week!
In partnership with Person County Emergency Management, we will be collecting new stuffed animals and new or gently used books for children affected by the Hurricane Helene. There will be boxes to drop things off by the front doors and the back doors starting Monday!
Our seniors were treated to a Chick-fil-A lunch today sponsored by the Cole and King families and Furniture Mart! They also completed their Class of ‘25 “jerseys” with a note to teachers who have made an impact on them. Thank you to all who helped set up and provide this awesome lunch for these students!

Dump all the change from your wallets, purses or pockets for a good cause!
Also, be on the lookout for more information about additional support efforts that RCS will be organizing in the next few weeks.
For Relay for Life this year, we sold special "Bulldogs Tackling Cancer" t-shirts! We sold over 100 shirts and raised over $600 for Person County Relay for Life!
Those who purchased shirts got to wear them today with jeans! We are thankful for all those who purchased one to support such an important cause.
Tomorrow is a $2 Jeans Day. All the proceeds will be donated to help those who have been impacted by Hurricane Helene in Western NC.
If you would like to donate more than $2, we will accept any and all additional monetary donations you would like to make to help this cause.
